Please keep Wasaga as a protected Provincial Park. We need nature to be protected for the animals, for our overall health, for the environment and for future generations. We thought the Piping Plover was extinct and now is nesting along these shores. We need to protect them. Read more

As someone who lives close to Wasaga Beach and visits the provincial park regularly, I strongly oppose removing Nancy Island from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and removing any parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park from the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006. Read more

Although the economics of the region are important, so is saving the bird's habitat. Once the piping plover's are decreased or lost, it will be much harder to save them. But there will always be ways to help the people living there. I think it is a good proposal.

I am against this proposal and we have endangered plovers that will drive their population down. Creating more structures or removing this environmental protected land will only create havoc to out already weak ecosystems. As seen with forest fires, the land is weak and fragile. Read more

Wasaga beacbeach is known for its expansive and publicly accessible waterfront beach area, which is its major tourist draw. This beach is overwhelmed with people throughout the high tourism season. Read more
