Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is public land that has been protected and enjoyed by generations of Canadians. Proposing to sell off any amount of it, let alone 60%, is absolutely atrocious and unacceptable. Read more

Please do not touch the Provincial Parks. They are the only vacation spots for many working class people and their families. If anything, the Provincial Parks need more funding. They are understaffed and starting to get decrepid and showing their age. Read more

Vote no to changes to legislation. Our provincial parks are for the public. Not for builders to privatize areas to make money. Land and animals need to be protected!! Read more

The change you propose will do the opposite of what the government was hired to do... protect the interests of Ontarians, not to feed the pockets of a select few. That beach was set aside for the public- it is not to be developed by private interests.

The government of Ontario has an obligation to maintain legal protections for species at risk like the piping plover.

I am against the proposal to sell part of the Wasaga Beach provincial park. I feel that province should not be reducing the size of our precious provincial parks and instead should be looking at increasing the size of our parks and the number of parks. Read more

I am against the selling of any Park Lands especially the particular sections that are in need of safeguarding any endangered species. There is enough world out there that it is not necessary to cover every square inch of waterfront shoreline with humans. Read more

Protect this provincial treasure that is an amazing local beach destination for Ontarians and other national and foreign visitors and preserve the habitat for our flora and fauna. Not for sale!

I am writing to state my objection to the proposed sale of lands that are currently part of Wasaga Beach provincial park. It is not in the best interest of Ontarians to have their provincial parks parcelled and sold off to private interests. Read more

This is a terrible, short-sighted decision that is not in the best interests of Ontario citizens. Provincial Parks are public goods that preserve access to water and land recreational spaces for citizens for the short- and long-term future, and also help ensure spaces for wildlife. Read more

Wasaga Beach has nothing to offer the to people other than one day at a run down beach. It needs attractions, hotels and restaurants to be able sustain its future going forward. Wasaga was always a destination beach. Read more

This proposal is totally unacceptable & should be struck down immediately. This beach is a last stronghold for nesting piping plovers in Ontario which is facing extinction. The idea of leaving conservation decisions to local municipality is wrong. Read more

Please do not change this precious Plover breeding ground to public beach. This land must remain protected for an endangered species.

This absolute absurdity. The shoreline should never be privatized. We will have nothing good left, as a people when Doug Ford is done selling it off to developers. People need to make decisions with the future in mind and this is insanely short sighted and horrible for the environment. Read more
