I support the changes for governance of Nancy Island. I DO NOT in any way support the transfer of Provincial Park land to the town of Wasaga Beach. The once beautiful town of Wasaga Beach has been laid waste by developers at a pace faster than the beach infrastructure can support. Read more

Now, more than ever, we need to protect our environment and save public access to publicly owned land. Wasaga beach was my first time exploring a place outside the GTA. Many Ontarians do not have yards, the parks and public land is our backyard. We need to preserve it for the future. Read more

I would like the Ontario government to protect the habitat of the piping plover at Wasaga beach area. Destroying that habitat would have negative consequences for this migratory species and would set a precedent that negatively impacts upon other native species!

We write to say, please protect our parks and shorelines, for the sake of all life that depends on them. We are totally opposed to any changes in laws that would open Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to developers. Housing should be built densely and vertically. Read more

So many of our wildlife is endangered because our government allows businesses to kill off what was given to us to protect. The government should work with business to protect what was given to us to be caretakers of. We have to take care of the piping plovers. Read more

I object to the removal of Nancy Island from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and placing it under the HPA, MTCG would assume responsibility for its management and protection. I further object to the legislative amendments to the PPCRA to remove portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Read more

I have recently learned about this proposal concerning Wasaga Beach and I have concerns that there may not end up being sufficient guidelines in place to protect the habitat of the piping plover if the transfer takes place. Read more

I am writing to state my opposition to the Ontario government’s plan to strip provincial park protection from key parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, and to sell much of this land for “integration into the broader development of Destination Wasaga”. Read more

It is abysmal that we are looking to eliminate critical habitat for the piping plover, and continue to make decisions that further challenge migratory species as a whole. Read more

As a taxpaying Ontario resident of 70 years, I am against this proposal to amend the Provincial Parks and Conservations Reserves Act of 2006 to support Wasaga Beach Tourism Enhancement. The Ontario government must protect our established provincial parks and must protect an endangered species. Read more

This land needs to stay protected, not used to have others profit. I strongly disagree with selling this part of nature.
