For decades the park has been a safe, clean, AFFORDABLE place for the public to enjoy this Canadian gem. Collingwood has become a playground for the privileged as did Muskoka over the years. Don’t take away one of our last truly affordable and inclusive green spaces in the Georgian Bay area. Lire davantage

As a lifelong Ontarion, I'm writing to express my concern over the proposed plans to remove land from the Wasaga Beach provincial park. Provincial parks are important to the protection of ecosystems and particular species. Lire davantage

The government should not be commercializing protected natural beach areas. Not everything has to be a money grab or a tourist attraction. We need to leave space for natural habitats or we will continue to erase the beauty that people want to see. Lire davantage

I am a biologist and I worked with the endangered Piping Plover for two years. I worked with the Plovers on beaches in this region and I see the substantial impacts these birds face on the shoreline. There isn't enough beach and sand for these birds to forage and lay their nest. Lire davantage

This deeply angers me. At what point are we going to stop sacrificing the natural integrity of the environment, upon which tourism is based? I have witnessed for decades the natural restoration of the said beaches with native dune grasses and vegetation. Lire davantage

To whom it may concern: I say ‘NO’ to the giveaway or sell-off of Ontario’s provincial park land to municipalities or any other entity for the purpose of development. Lire davantage

Provincial parks are supposed to preserve the environment for birds & nature. Piping Plover is one bird that will be at risk in Wasaga Beach if these changes are done. Please do not proceed with this proposal.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to this proposal as it would negatively impact critical habitat for the piping plover (Charadrius melodus). Lire davantage

I strongly disagree with this proposed legislation. Residents and out-of-towners alike are unhappy with this new proposed changes. Wasaga beach has been a gathering sport for many generations for decades and partly because the beach is accessible because it's public. Lire davantage

I support transfer of park properties to the town of Wasaga Beach with the stipulations that it most remain in public domain with public access and never be sold to private developers.

I am strongly opposed to the proposed transfer. Municipal politics are problematic, susceptible to the influence of "developers" who can manipulate municipal politicians with alarming frequency. Lire davantage

Why are we giving away a shared public space, that is not just a habitat for the plants, animals and even the people who flock to enjoy its beauty. Lire davantage

I am totally opposed to the transfer of portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, namely removal all of Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach, and the sale of Crown-owned land within Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach, to the Town of Wasaga Beach. Lire davantage

I am shocked that the Ontario government is proposing to sell roughly 60% of the Wasaga Beach shoreline contained within the provincial park. This is so exasperating. The citizens of Ontario require and deserve access to natural spaces within reasonable distances of crowded urban areas. Lire davantage
