I support this transfer of land. I currently live in the Allenwood area affected by the recent court decision and I am very happy with how the city has returned to grooming the beach and keeping it clean. Much improved compared to the Ministry’s (lack of) previous maintenance.
Please keep your hands off Ontario wetlands and our parks. We need housing for the lower wage earners not those in the top wage bracket. We need smaller, vertical dwellings, not sprawling mansions on big lots.

Parks are intended to highlight and preserve. Parks and wild spaces, wetlands in particular, are the bottom of our food chain, key reservoirs of water, and provide clean air. It is in the interest of all to preserve more than we already have.

I am against the provincial park areas listed being transferred to the town of wasaga beach. The town is run by amateur polictians and should not be responsible for the land. Why does everything need to be developed to be attractive as a destination.

I understand part of this area is a critical nesting ground for the PIPING PLOVER. We should be protecting our wildlife, not destroying it. Mr. Ford, consider this, and leave this area alone.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the removal of Nancy Island from the permanent protections intended by its inclusion as part of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. As the government knows, the purpose of designating areas like Nancy Island was to permanently protect them.

Please leave the provincial park land alone. It’s a park for a reason and it’s our responsibility and stewardship to care for the species that live on the land. No development. Save the piping plover!!
