I support this transfer of land. I currently live in the Allenwood area affected by the recent court decision and I am very happy with how the city has returned to grooming the beach and keeping it clean. Much improved compared to the Ministry’s (lack of) previous maintenance.

Please keep your hands off Ontario wetlands and our parks. We need housing for the lower wage earners not those in the top wage bracket. We need smaller, vertical dwellings, not sprawling mansions on big lots. Thank you. N S Read more

We have beautiful provincial parks for all to enjoy. If you start selling one off, what’s to stop you from selling them all off? Will there be any green left in Ontario? I urge everyone to consider the future of Ontario and yes, the planet. Read more

I am opposed to this proposal. Parks are intended to highlight and preserve. Parks and wild spaces, wetlands in particular, are the bottom of our food chain, key reservoirs of water, and provide clean air. It is in the interest of all to preserve more than we already have. Read more

This is horrifying. Tired of this government running ramshod over our environment and animals for developers benefit. Seriously. How many developers have Ford and the PC’s in their pocket now? Save the plovers and save our parks. They are not his to sell off. Sick of these Trump moves. Read more

I can't help but think that turning over a provincial park to the private sector and the highest bidder would set a terrible precedent for public assets in this province. Read more

I am against the provincial park areas listed being transferred to the town of wasaga beach. The town is run by amateur polictians and should not be responsible for the land. Why does everything need to be developed to be attractive as a destination. Read more

I understand part of this area is a critical nesting ground for the PIPING PLOVER. We should be protecting our wildlife, not destroying it. Mr. Ford, consider this, and leave this area alone.

I am not in favour of selling/giving/transfering Provincial Park land to the Town of Wasaga Beach. It needs to stay in provincial hands and be protected from development. Read more

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park isn’t just a summer destination, it’s one of the last remaining nesting grounds for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. These tiny shorebirds have made a fragile comeback since 2007, thanks to years of careful stewardship and protection. Read more

Amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act should not go forward. Setting areas aside for conservation purposes should be considered permanent if nature protection is to make any sense. We can’t just keep taking away areas of conservation and expect ecosystems to thrive. Read more

Do not sell this land!!!!! This will harm thousands of native species of animals in this area. Our environment shouldn't be up for sale.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the removal of Nancy Island from the permanent protections intended by its inclusion as part of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. As the government knows, the purpose of designating areas like Nancy Island was to permanently protect them. Read more

Please leave the provincial park land alone. It’s a park for a reason and it’s our responsibility and stewardship to care for the species that live on the land. No development. Save the piping plover!!
