The Ontario government made a decision to make that land public in the 50s, and it has been an area visited by many tourists. Must of southern Ontario does not have beach access, and the sale of Wasaga beach would cause congestion and over crowding on beachs and limit people's access. Read more

Absolutely not. Keeping in mind the considerations for environmental impact and the need to preserve provincial park land. Wasaga does not have the infrastructure to manage the influx of people into this area - considering the health, emergency services, education needs, maintenance issues etc. Read more

As a resident of Ontario whose family visits Wasaga and the surrounding area frequently I deeply disagree with any sale of our waterfront or surrounding areas. They must be protected.

This is a horrible idea! This is devastating to the local wildlife and natural habitat. I am so disappointed that the government would even consider removing any of the lands from protection. The Ontario government has too much power and not can not be left unchecked. Read more

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more

Leave our parks and green spaces alone! Enough already! Stop lining the pockets of your friends and colleagues. Have a conscience!

Wasaga beach is a beautiful natural park and should not be privatized. There is a housing crisis related to affordable housing, Ontario does not need more massive beach houses that no one can afford to live in. Read more

What environmental or economic studies have supported this attempt to possibly improve local municipality and businesses? Are the proposed sales of the land going to Canadian owned corporations that have a track record of environmental preservation? Read more

Our parks and green-space are vital to our health and welfare. Public lands must be kept in public hands. Shame our current leadership doesn’t get that.
