We should not be undermining natural heritage/environmental/ecosystem protections to promote human development. We're seeing the impact of natural diversification around us every day, we're paying for it through our cost of living and are increasing the burden on future generations. Read more

I write to strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves in relation to Wasaga Beach. The bill proposes to privatize public land to encourage development, encourage tourism, for the sake of the economy. Read more

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more

As a long term resident in neighbouring Collingwood, I am 100% against the proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Read more

Wasaga Beach should not be sold!! If anything it should be protected! We only have so much coastline that can be enjoyed by the public and we should take pride in the fact that we keep it open for anyone and everyone to use. Greed cannot be the driving force for this. Read more

It is completely unacceptable for the Ontario government to be selling off our Crown lands to developers. Wasaga beach is an important natural area that should be protected at all costs from this governments twisted desire to sell off all our public lands.

I strongly oppose this. It is worded that it will positively promote tourism that I doubt is in the best interests of the town, or the people of Ontario. Read more

Making public provincial park land and privatizing it does nothing to make Ontario better. Doug Ford is trying to take away access to beautiful beaches for families for the sake of his developer friends and himself to make money. This proposal is sickening and shameful. Read more

Wasaga beach already has an overload of tourists. "Enhancing" a beautiful natural area by destroying it so that tourists with a lot of money can have their own little piece is very short sighted. People need nature. Bird song is medically proven to be good for our health. Read more

Give stewardship back to the Town of Wasaga Beach and right a wrong. There are so many neglected, unusable and abandoned provincial properties in Wasaga Beach. No taxes are being collected on them, and they have no access because of overgrowth. Fix this finally!!! Read more

Selling off a significant portion of this provincial park will not enhance tourism but will enhance the wallets of private developers who will see this as a golden opportunity to rake in massive gains at the cost of the environment and the local community (which are already under massive pressure fr Read more

I am completely opposed to this, as I am to every attempt to sell off public property and public assets. Public parkland isn't for sale. At least, it shouldn't be. Read more
