Provincial park land must remain protected.
As a child I visited Wasaga beach nearly every year but now it has changed so much. The continued development makes it unappealing for Canadians!
Protect it!

After the disasterous, and continuing to balloon costs of the scandalous Greenbelt deal, any deal, even at arms length to Doug Ford, needs to be approved by the auditor general's office.

I disagree with taking 60 percent of Wasga Beach. It's a beautiful place, and should be left as is.
I think this is Doug Ford making deals with his buddy's, so they can have a nice place to build there homes and cottages.
Doug Ford Needs to be investigated.

Wasaga beach accepts tourist as the longest fresh water beach, this proposal will destroy that. It will also make the little beach that remains too populated in the summer and uNusable for locals.

This Proposal is ridiculous and must be stopped! Public spaces with access to nature in Ontario is already very limited. Conservation areas hidden behind paywalls blocking access to lower income families, campsites are booked up in minutes due to competition. I want to see this proposal squashed.

The current government seems to this everything should involve profits. Selling off conservation lands and parks means destroying affordable access to places that help with mental health, affordable family activities, etc. Big business benefits not people. Some things should remain untouchable.

Provincial parks are meant to protect natural habitat and wildlife. This proposal is NOT protecting the habitat or the wildlife. This proposal is dangerous to all of Canada's natural lands and wildlife. This land is supposed to be protected and natural.

There is a species of bird at risk of extinction that calls Wasaga home. This sale will make it much more difficult to protect. Please rethink this sale.
Wasaga beach is a destination because of its long, largely undeveloped shoreline. Developing the shoreline will destroy critical wildlife habitat, as well as a natural buffer for weather events to the surrounding area.

The beaches should be preserved for many reasons. There are endangered birds- Piping Plovers- which use this beach for a critical life process (nesting). Wasaga beach is one of the few beaches in Ontario where this species finds it suitable to nest.

This decision will set off a domino effect of undercuts to our prized provincial parks. It will chip away at precious conservation land that is well used and well loved by Ontarians. This popular green space is also a highly successful habitat for at risk species, such a as the Piping Plover.

Provincial parks and public beaches are public spaces for a reason they should belong to everybody not just the rich. You’re taking away beaches and parks to just build houses? That’s outrageous. People always enjoy wasaga beach for their beach, it’s the longest freshwater beach in the world.

Wasaga beach and other provincial parks are for the people of Ontario to enjoy nature and water. No one should be allowed to do any kind of development.
Message to Premier
Leave Wasaga beach for people of Ontario. Stop selling Public places for profit. Stop the construction .

First we lost Ontario place then science center and now our most loved beach, Wasaga beach is being sell by government for profits. It seems that Ontario government does not care what people of Ontario want. No kind of development should be allowed on Wasaga beach.
