I oppose the sale of this land. The beachfront should be left as is and continue to be protected! This land is for everyone and it doesn’t need anything else built on it. Any development or sale of this land prevents the public from using it freely. Read more

Wasaga Beach is one of the most famous and well travelled beaches in the country. We don't need to boost tourism there, and we certainly don't need to do it at the expense of protected land and species. As a resident of Ontario I don't want this. Read more

I strongly object to any provincial, Parkland being sold or used for anything other than public enjoyment and education. Once it is gone, it is never replaced. History shows us that all the time. The fact that this is even being considered is absolutely ridiculous. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed legislative changes to enable the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Wasaga Beach is one of the few nesting grounds in Ontario for the endangered piping plover. Read more

Provincial park land should never be reduced, if anything, expanded. The parks are there for a reason and as our population grows, they need to be bigger, not smaller. Stop this nonsense.

I am opposed to these proposed changes. The proposal says this is part of the “Plan to Protect Ontario,” and yet this would open up an incredibly important natural area to development. Read more

This is a horrible idea. The longest Freshwater beach in the world should not be sold off. Public lands should never be sold off. This land is public and thus should belong to the people. This is home to endangered species of all kinds. Do not go through with this.

I am an Ontario resident and I strongly oppose selling off provincial parks for development. Please leave our natural spaces alone. They are intrinsically valuable.

I am writing to say that I am strongly opposed to the sale of parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. This is valuable public land. In the hands of the municipality, it could be re-zoned and up for development. There is no guarantee that the land for endangered species would be preserved. Read more

Selling off provincial park land will ruin the lives of future generations. This is a horrible idea and should be stopped immediately.

This is a travesty on so many fronts. For one, there should be an open, transparent public process with accountability. These are public lands meant for public enjoyment, the protection of nature, and of endangered species. Read more

This cannot be allowed to happen! It is one of the most beautiful beaches in our country. With water that is clear, warm, and shallow. It is ideal for young children, and has been a favourite destination for Canadians for generations. This land needs to be protected for generations to come. Read more

I am opposed to this proposal. Wasaga Beach is and essential breeding ground for piping plovers, a near-threatened bird species that is native to the area. Read more

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more

Please, no. Keep Canada's parks as a legacy for our future. Protect these lands and the species that live there.

I do not support the plan to chop up Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Ontario should be seeking ways to live in harmony with local ecosystems, not exploiting or destroying them for mere economic value. Protect Wasaga Beach, the plovers, and all other non-humam creatures who live there.
