I live on the north shore of Lake Superior. The decision to merge the Lake Superior region with southern Lake Huron does not make sense. The two areas are over 1000 K apart and are different in every aspect from ecosystems, climate, a boreal forest vs a deciduous forest. Read more

As a lifelong resident of Dundas and frequent user of the Hamilton conservation areas, I do not agree with the amalgamation of the conservation areas and feel that HCA should continue on as its own independent conservation authority.

I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community. Conservation lands are vital to our well being. Anyone who uses these areas understands their value. Read more

Most of Canada's rare and endangered species live in Southern Ontario. Southern Ontario has the most biodiversity in Canada, as well as the highest population density. People travel from around the world to visit our natural areas and stay in our parks. Read more

As a voter and taxpayer, I am vehemently opposed to this amalgamation, especially because it is clear from the reasons presented that the Provincial Government wants to build/develop protected watershed lands. That may be a Doug Ford priority, but it is NOT a priority for the people of Ontario. Read more
