I do not support this proposed merger. The Province has not provided evidence showing why the merger is needed. The plan notes that a regional approach is required to address inefficiency and streamline permit approvals, but doesn’t provide details on where existing CAs are falling short. Read more

I urge this to be reconsidered. The vast rang of land proves that it can not be treated as one big simplified region. This would further add complexities and delays which is the opposite of what is trying to be achieved. Read more

Locally based decision-making and accountability is important for Conservation! The reason for this amalgamation has not been justified. The HCA is one of the Hamilton City Depts with a positive track record of responsiveness and success. Read more
