I strongly oppose the proposed consolidation of Conservation Authorities. The current boundaries were established in response to Hurricane Hazel which caused widespread inundation of low lying lands in most of southern Ontario. Read more

These proposed changes are for the expansion of development within the current Conversation areas not providing the same protectin for the watershed areas as originally envisioned. I live beside the Salmon River. I will be negatively affected by these changes

This is a foolish idea. Local knowledge and experience need to be central to decision-making. Consolidating such a huge area means that local concerns will never be heard and local knowledge will be ignored. Read more

I fully support HCA's submission to ERO. They are very active and knowledgeable about all local ecology. They involve local communities and make people feel part of a team. Encourage all to spend time at the parks. Read more

This is a horrendously bad idea. Watershed management is, by definition best done on an individual watershed basis. Local watersheds need to be governed by local municipalities to address unique local conditions and communities. Read more
