I do not support this consolidation. Each conservation authority knows best the intricacies of their watershed and lands. And they must be preserved. There is no undoing the damage once we pave over our watersheds and green spaces.

Just because something looks cheaper does not mean it's better. This is a short sighted decision that ignores the regional variation. Sarnia part of Lake Erie? No. Those are entirely different ecosystems. Same with London. Local folk have required knowledge to best support environmental goals.

As a resident of Hamilton, one who supports the use of conservation land as publicly-owned natural places rather than developed, privately-owned spaces, I ask that the conservation authorities not be merged, nor the current boundaries changed.

Ontario is a gigantic region with extreme biodiversity. The needs of each area need to be cared for by local teams making local decisions. There is no need to amalgamate conservation authorities!
Please do not consolidate in this fashion. Local needs vary so much from urban and central oversight. It will make dealing with and working with a conservation authority an onerous and time consuming process.
