I am submitting this comment as a First Nation community member, a Haudenosaunee woman, and a mother raising children in the Thames River watershed. My concerns about this proposal come directly from day-to-day experiences, not abstract policy. Read more

Hello, Combining conservation authorities is a terrible idea. It would mean the loss of local knowledge needed to properly manage these areas and in turn negatively effect ecosystems, wildlife, and the nearby communities. Read more

Please do not do this. Consolidation never leads to good results. Our Kettle Creek CA does important qork to keep our watershed safe. Let them do their jobs in peace. Too many important local progeams to lose.

I am concerned for the loss of local expertise and local representation with an amalgamation this large. The community resources of trails and conservation areas that are managed by these local Authorities are deeply valued and integrated locally. Read more

This consolidation is risking lack of judgment. People making decisions will not be local in the end and will not have any understanding of areas that they are not familiar with. Not all things fit in the same box. We will lose local talent and expertise that understand the individual habits.

I do not want this consolidation to happen. The area is expanding into one very large region that will not be effectively managed. This will be a detrimental to our green space and conservation areas. Wildlife will suffer. Read more

I don't understand this insane need to emelgamate EVERYTHING. It hasn't worked for Municipalities or school boards and it's just going to cause immense neglect if done with our waterways. Conservation takes dedication, knowledge, perseverance as well as money. Read more

I think this is a reckless decision. It's another example of non-local officials making decisions for local matters. These proposed boundaries are far too large and in no way will actually benefit any parties. Currently, authorities have a strong understanding of their areas. Read more

Consolidating smaller groups into larger agencies sounds efficient but doesn't work the same when the small well defined groups have intimate knowledge of their areas of operation that won't suit other areas. Read more
