Please do not consolidate CAs. It is so so important for each individual region to have someone is is knowledgeable on that areas specific native range - which is a ton of unique information compared to the neighbouring CA native range. Read more

Conservation authorities are experts on their land. There are already too stretched to carryout vital invasive removal that are collapsing our ecosystem. Once it's gone, there is not rebuilding it. Read more

As a farmer within the Grand River watershed I think it is very important to save our local conservation authorities and not to consolidate. These local experts provide farmers with science based, accurate and local information on a daily basis. Read more

Local conservation groups are invaluable to communities and our land. They know the people create connection and relationships with school kids all the way through seniors who walk the trails. Replacing the local knowledge wirh a large group is a terrible idea. Sometimes bigger is NOT better. Read more

I DISAGREE with this proposal. Conservation Authorities should be given more authority, more staff, to stop your wealth-seeking developers and greedy property owners from destroying more of Ontario's natural lands. Read more

People in this province have worked for years to restore and protect our natural areas. We as Canadians and Ontarians pride ourselves on our beautiful conservation spaces. These spaces are only beautiful because they are so meticulously maintained by our conservation authorities. Read more

We need to protect flood planes, wetlands, rivers and conserve decades of local watershed knowledge. Just because our southern neighbour stopped caring about the environment and being a responsible global citizen, does not mean that we should too. Read more

Please don't do this. At a time when flooding and environmental impact is at an all time high, reducing the oversight over there authorities is very short sighted and will prove detrimental to the very developments reducing this authority looks to accelerate.

This is a misguided approach. We need more localized approach to conservation and people on the ground. Remote management should not out our conservation supports at risk. Try reducing the provincial investments in strip club training instead.

Why on earth are you wanting to change a system that already works? Conservation authorities have unique needs by geographic location and those who work within them become experts in the biosphere in which they are located. Read more
