This does not make any sense to me. Governments continue to rebrand themselves and organizations within, which is a complete waste of tax payer dollars. The current setup is working really well. Stop wasting tax payer dollars on re inventing the wheel.

The proposed jurisdictions make sense. I have poor respect for the quality of staff, slow to respond, incorrect response, failure to understand. Usually they try to ignore providing response in timely manner. I am sure there are better people out there. Get rid of the dumb and lazy. Read more

Please keep local conservation authorities as they are. These organizations provide numerous programs to local communities, lands and individuals- they KNOW and CARE for the places they hello to protect intimately.

This is ardently the worst decision to amalgamate these Conservation Authorities. This is a blatant attack on climate and biodiversity loss for these watersheds of Ontario at the hands of the same who brought the Greenbelt Scandal.

For a government rife with controversy about its lack of environmental awareness or concern, the last thing you should be doing is reducing these very effective organizations that function extremely well as watchdogs and keepers of local oversight for watersheds and the communities they support. It sounds like this plan was not well thought out. Amalgamating the Lakehead RCA with a region in southern Ontario does not make sense at all. LRCA already covers a massive territory that includes a lot of territory that has been undisturbed by human activity. Read more

This is a terrible idea. I work as a consulting engineer primarily with municipalities for linear infrastructure projects. We already have too many delays, miscommunications and confusion, particularly with the role the CA should be playing in relation to the CLI ECA. Read more

After reviewing the available material, it is not clear that there is a solid rationale for this change. This work is inherently local, and the proposal suggests that the ability to respond in a tailored local fashion will be reduced. Read more

The proposed merger of the LRCA with Southern Ontario regions on the shores of Lake Huron seems insane. I hope that the TBFN and our regional municipalities served by the LRCA will give strong feedback to Kevin Holland about how stupid this proposal is in terms of making services more efficient. Re 025-1257. It is a poor idea to consolidate conservation authorities. The reason they are effective in controlling flooding and erosion and protecting the environment is because they have a body of knowledge of the area they protect. Read more

This is clearly a Doug Ford/Conservative legislative intervention that jeopardises the "common good" and facilitates the development industry. Read more
