Need to maintain current local locations as branch offices to allow for local distances for developers and public to deal with, as well a be able to monitor local resources and implement local outreach and stewardship programs effectively.

I am a resident of Thunder Bay District, and I feel as though the boundary merging proposals for Huron-Superior RCA, combining the LRCA in my area with those from a more southern-Ontario area on Lake Huron, is not the best plan of action for my district. Read more

The LRCA has a vital role regionally, moving them to southern Ontario would not benefit the Thunder Bay District. Why on earth is this being considered. Once a again the province only seems to think that everything revolves around Toronto.

Concern that individual watershed conservation will not be prioritized regionally, and provincial priorities will align more towards suburban/industrial development rather than natural conservation. Any Indigenous involvement?

The conservation authority boundaries are based on watershed boundaries, meaning each CA is an expert in it's local region. Developers and municipalities try to railroad development without appropriate water and wetlands considerations already. Read more

Please stop this proposal. The conservation authorities are already working to the bone without enough funding. This proposal will make conservation to any particular area difficult because the proposed areas are so huge, making to difficult to deal with conservation related important work. Read more

This plan will stop the Conservation Authorities from being able to properly protect our infrastructure, their resources will be spread to thin to properly predict flooding and help advise construction that can assure the longevity of projects. This proposal should not go through because of this. Read more

Folding the Thunder Bay region conservation area into the Lake Huron region is beyond comprehension. The migration patterns, Flooding type, mitigation processes needed, fauna, and even the gardening zone are nothing alike. Read more

This is a terrible idea. Instead of alagamating them across watershed decreasing yhe influence of local needs and cultures just force them through legislation to have the same development permit process

I’m not in favour of this proposal because less funding, knowledge shared from environmental workers and jobs will be the consequence. Overall I think this limits the government of Ontarios ability to protect the environment.
