Please do not make these changes, at a time where our earth is in crisis we need to protect, preserve and steward nature land areas. This bill will degrade our natural areas and put more species at risk.
When it comes to business - we cannot rely on voluntary initiatives like habitat restoration that protect and conserve species. We need this law to conserve natural areas, otherwise they will be bulldozed over for the sake of development.
This article presents another example of what happens when we encroach on the natural environment to develop spaces for human use. The wild animals get displaced and inevitably have unsafe encounters with humans.

This bill is going to harm the environment and endangered animals here in Ontario. This is an assault on our ecosystem in favour of for profit corporations including developers and builders who happen to be friends of the government and their representatives… how convenient.
