As a young person who has lived in Ontario her entire life and loves the rich environmental landscape and unique species our beautiful province is home to, these proposed changes are horrifying.

This bill is a very Trumpian bill. We cannot fast-track things that affect nature, and give powers to override thoughtful processes that have been put in place to protect nature, which is our only hope for the future.

If more of the public knew this act was being repealed they would speak out. There is no need to remove the protections of the endangered species for an industrial or commercial project to move forward. Those industries can find another way that will not harm our green space or species.

I oppose Bill 5. We need to think about future generations and sustaining our beautiful native ecology. This bill is selfish and only promotes corporate gain and wealth over the well-being of the people.
