I am a 70 year resident of Ontario. I own a small country property of which about 7.5 acres have been designated as preserved provincial wetlands. I protect this tiny bit of land zealously.

I oppose this bill. After what happened with Ontario Place, I don’t believe this bill will protect species and it will prioritize permits and companies. I think it will do more harm than good for the environment which is a very high priority for me and many others in this province.
I strongly oppose Bill 5. This bill calls for terminating environmental assessments for private industry and puts the species, landscape and resources of Ontario at risk. I support the protection of nature and Indigenous rights.

Bill 5 is a horrendous infringement on the rights of the citizens of Ontario and the wildlife that live here. It bypasses protective laws - labour and environmental and treaty. It holds no one accountable for destruction of habitat.
