This bill is dangerous. Repealing the ESA and replacing it with a deregulated framework threatens Ontario’s biodiversity and disrespects Indigenous land rights. Protect ecosystems, not developers. Scrap the bill entirely.

The proposed new Species Conservation Act is GARBAGE. Only providing protection for the “dwelling places” or nests of birds or other wildlife? Habitat conservation achieved ONLY through voluntary measures or federal government intervention. C'mon, Ontario - you gotta do better than that! Read more

The environmental layers and hoops you have to navigate to build or change anything in some areas is out of control. We have a cottage in Long Point, Ontario and we have to deal with multiple organizations and get multiple permits just to build or change something on our property. Read more

Bill 5 must be withdrawn. As it is, Ignace Ontario has been bought by the Ontario Nuclear Industry who will be installing nuclear waste burial in the midst of our pristine lakes and forests. Nothing left for our grandchildren. No animals, no clean water, and dead trees. Read more

Please do not change the Endangered Species act ! This act is very important for the protection of the habitats our our beautiful endangered animals and birds. This would be devastating !
