This proposed change is very irresponsible and not science based. For a party that preaches small government, this is a huge over step and making politicians the decision makers when they are not the experts. Please reconsider the protections for endangered species. Read more

The future of at-risk birds and their habitats is paramount to the diversity and environmental health of this province. It is devastating to watch the Ontario government willfully neglecting and destroying the environment in the name of efficiency.

This proposal is so dangerous! We must protect our endangered species and our environment from unchecked development. This proposal undermines indigenous voices and is a threat to all of Ontarios health and futures.

This plan is of great concern, as it seems that the government has only to claim that destroying the Greenbelt, habitats, conservation areas etc must be done to enable ‘economic growth’. Read more

This Act should not be altered in any way that prevents further conservation for Canada’s Endangered Species. It is our role to help prevent the further loss of species and be more proactive and aggressive with our response in preservation.

Gutting the Endangered Species Act is something a video game villain would do. Protect our wildlife and green space. We have a planet that gives us fresh fruit and wild game, and sharing it with other species is not only crucial to their survival but to ours as well. Read more

Our endangered species and at risk species need to be protected. This new proposal takes away too much of the already weak protection they have. Giving government the authority to add and remove species from the endangered list at their discretion is unacceptable.

Doug Ford’s “Protect Ontario” bill is like calling arson a home renovation. He’s gutting the Endangered Species Act so his developer friends can pave ecosystems without even checking if anything lives there — then call it growth. Read more
