As an avid outdoor hunter, the idea you must only protect a "dwelling place" for many of the habitats that hold Canada's wildlife is absurd. There is wildlife that migrates, wildlife that has different breeding areas instead of dwelling areas.

I am very disappointed to hear that the government plans to fast track development at the expense of threatened species before adequate and in-depth studies and environmental assessments of habitats are performed, assessing if endangered species live or could possibly be living in that area.

These proposed changes are a horrendous idea that will decimate Ontario’s wildlife and lead to extinctions for incredibly short term and minor gains. Wildlife need far more than their nest and dwelling to survive, we must protect expansive areas for these species to have a fighting chance.
