Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6363520338 has been issued to TERRA INTERNATIONAL (CANADA) INC., for manufacturing cooling purposes. Water will be taken from one watercourse in Courtright, Ontario.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-25-000212 to Rich Copper Exploration Corp. for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

The government has made legislative changes to the Planning Act through the Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, 2025 (Bill 60).

Bill 60, the Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, 2025, was passed by the Legislature on November 24, 2025. Schedule 5 of this Act streamlines the approach for municipalities implementing and installing new bicycle lanes, by prohibiting motor vehicle lane reductions.

The Province of Ontario has passed Bill 60, which introduces the Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, 2025, amending the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act. The amendments support the implementation of harmonized road standards, including for municipal road construction.

The government amended the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020 (BTFA) including Part II (Corridor Control) and Part V (Municipal Services & Right of Way) to streamline permitting and reduce approval bottlenecks for transit, leverage delegation of authorities to expedite transit delivery and provide predictable project timelines.

Updates were made to the Off-Farm Anaerobic Digestion Materials Protocol under the Nutrient Management Act, 2002. These changes ensure consistent eligibility of organic waste materials from the production of ingredients used in food, animal feed, pet food, ethanol, and biodiesel production, irrespective of where the ingredients are produced.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) has been issued to Thames River Chemical Corp., for emissions from a Chemical distribution and soap manufacturing facility, located in Burlington, Ontario.

The proponent has withdrawn their application for this approval. No Environmental Compliance Approval was issued.

An amended existing Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued for sewage treatment and subsurface disposal works rated at 2,800 litres per day, to service a residential house, located at 23 Lwiw Road, Town of Caledon.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued for private sewage treatment serving Inlett Inc. located at Silverbush Cabins, Highway 17 near Granite Lake, Ontario.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) has been issued to Vale Canada Limited for emissions from a pyrometallurgical nickel-copper smelting facility, located in Copper Cliff, Ontario.

The application to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) number 7577-4XGL5P has been cancelled.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) for on-site sewage works related to the collection, transmission, treatment and reuse of wash water from existing aggregate washing operations located at the existing Edgar Pit property located on Lots 10 and 11, Concession 7, in the Township of Oro-Medonte.
