We should not be selling off any of our water to any corporation, anywhere or anytime. It is probably our most important resource. Absolutely vital. Any maybe all that plastic that nestle and other corporations use to sell our water in isn’t any good either?

Yes. This is definitely a step in the right direction. This is a very serious issue for the people of that area and this decision will hopefully set a precedent for other similar water grabbing scenarios.
It's clear: Our water is running dry. The aquifers that took millennia to fill are bottoming out. We are removing water faster than nature can replenish it.
We are in a water crisis.

Corporations that bottle water care especially for THEIR shareholders' profits and NOT the protection and sustainability of OUR environment. It's up to US people and our elected representative officials to be responsible and prudent.

I am wholeheartedly supportive of the extension of the moratorium. Taking tome to continue to assess the actions of taking water is very important. Stop. Think . Act responsibly.
Nestle has had a gift of virtually free ground water for its profitable sales for far too long.
The water belongs to the community and should not be sold at any price to a for profit private company.

As a new resident to Wellington County, I am extremely concerned that Nestlé has been allowed to take millions and millions of litres of water from our watershed unabated. At the very least, we need to halt this until thorough studies have been completed and I believe it should be stopped.

Ground water should be preserved primarily for local public drinking water. Agricultural use should be the second priority. Use by local industry should be the third priority. Recreational use should be the fourth priority. Industrial bottling of ground water should not be permitted.

The Province of Ontario must say "NO" to Nestle for good and stop leaving the door open! This deep water aquifer is needed for future generations in a community slated for significant urban growth.

The "need" for bottled water in Ontario is minimal; virtually all people in Ontario have access to safe tap water. The current 'fashion' for bottled water is silly; people are actually buying bottled tap water.

Clean, safe drinking water is necessary to our survival, and may well be in short supply in the future. Selling it at bargain basement prices to multi-million dollar corporations like Nestle, who then sell it for profit as bottled water, is not in the public interest.
Please protect drinking water for residents of Guelph, Wellington County and the Grand River Watershed. Stop allowing companies to remove water for bottled water permanently.
I support extending the moratorium on permits for taking ground water. Our water is our most precious resource. We must protect our children and our children's children by ensuring they always have fresh, clean water to drink.

In my opinion, water taking from wells or municiple water sources for resale should be illegal.
Why are we allowing multi-national companies to enrich themselves and their shareholders by taking our groundwater at rediculously low rates?
No further applications should be allowed in perpetuity.

Water is a natural resource, not a tradable good. The plastic pollution that comes from bottling companies is adding significantly to our already huge plastic problem. There is no need for plastic bottles. Please stop bottling our precious water. Water is for people not for profits!
Water is all we have. It is our right. It is NOT a commodity to be bought and sold by the highest bidder.
We need access to clean, safe water as much as clean, safe air.
