I want this Conservative government to impose a full Environmental Assessment on the policy of issuing permits to take water for the purposes of bottling so that there can be a full public discussion of water bottling by Nestle and other commercial bottling operations in Ontario.

I have great concerns about the water bottling industry and it's effect on the water table in Ontario. I have family that have been living throughout the Guelph/Eramosa and Wellington Townships for over 50 years and have witnessed concerning drops in the availability of well water.

I support the extension of the moratorium on pumping and bottling water in Ontario. I am a resident of Flamborough, Ontario and I am worried about the impacts on our specific type of aquafer.

This is very wrong. do not let nestle continue to steal our water for a big profit at the expense of the ordinary citizens. Please do not permit them to continue their bottling business in Ontario!!!
I truly believe that it is in the best interest of all those in our country and our province of Ontario that you extend the moratorium for as long as possible until there is more research conducted into the effects of groundwater being taken in such vast amounts from the aquifers.

I fully support the moratorium and would like to see the practice of allowing private companies take groundwater (a public natural resource) for the purposes of bottling water (and selling for profit) phased out completely.

Make this moratorium permanent - cast it in law. Ground water is a precious and critical public resource that must not be turned over to for-profit companies. In addition, bottled water is one of the biggest sources of plastic pollution in the world.

I support the continued moratorium.
More comprehensive environmental assessments need to be done on this issue. There should be a phase out of the practice of allowing private companies to take groundwater for the purposes of bottling water.
As a citizen of Hamilton, Ontario, I do want the extension on the moratorium on new and increasing permits to happen. I would also like the complete elimination of the commercial bottling of groundwater in Ontario.

This should be a permanent moratorium.
Companies using plastic throw away containers should be prohibited.
We all need water; we all can acquire reusable water bottles and fill from our taps.
This throw away wastefulness must stop- meaning water too.

Our groundwater should not be bottled and sold, generating more plastic waste and impacting the groundwater systems. Many people of Six Nations lack safe water but Nestle is extracting groundwater from the area.
