Professional engineers should be only permitted to operate in an emergency if they have 5 years of experience (like managers) in the appropriate field. Don't want a bridge engineer operating a water plant. Don't want a P. Eng. who mostly does max day calculations repairing a valve. Lire davantage

I believe that these proposals under emergencies make perfect sense as I have witnessed the struggles through this current pandemic. The only suggestions I think that could be altered in this proposal are: Lire davantage

The proposed changes look good overall. It does not seem reasonable, however, to all people to operate drinking water systems just because they hold an engineering or engineering tech degree/diploma. Lire davantage

If you want to make sure you are ready for the next emergency. If it is a pandemic or whatever the case may be, why wouldn't you implement measures that better support your staff with policies that limit worker contact and allow the operators to continue to do their essential jobs. Lire davantage

I strongly appose these changes. This field is one that needs to be treated as a profession and not something that can be replaced with "Temps". To enact such changes would hinder the fairness for unionized employees in respect to the bargaining process.

I have reviewed the proposed changes and like that they provide more flexibility for drinking water and wastewater system owners during a pandemic or similar sustained emergency event. Here are my comments for consideration. Lire davantage

No immediate questions or concerns with the proposal. Just felt that in lieu of any questions or comments - acknowledging the opportunity to do so is worthwhile.

NO!! If you care about the public's health and want to continue providing the safest water quality, support water operators in times of emergencies and negotiations . Water is essential!

The rules and regulations regarding safe drinking water were put in place for a reason. Remember Walkerton? Certifications are required because there are alot of potential issues that lack of experience can not only make worse but could make catastrophic. Please don't allow this to happen. Lire davantage
