I am writing to express my opposition to Bill 23 and associated policy proposals that would weaken environmental protections and undermine public involvement in land use planning and decision-making. I am particularly concerned about the: Lire davantage

Ford says that this will help the housing crisis yet: The housing crisis is an affordability crisis, in Canada we have more than an 8% unoccupied rate – but these cannot be filled since no one can afford them These houses could be big – more profitable for landowners, but not good for Ontarians Lire davantage

Green space was not designated in the past to be utilized for hard scape in the future. It was designated as green space to ensure there will always be green space - an area of grass, trees, or other vegetation set apart for recreational or aesthetic purposes in an otherwise urban environment. I love our province. It has so much to offer. Please, do not touch our natural resources. Please, protect the Green Belt. Please, do not cut down more trees or turn more nature into concrete.

Please leave the greenbelt alone. There is lots of land to build on. You don’t need the greenbelt for affordable housing. We need rising costs of materials to come down so builders and developers CAN offer their new homes , no matter what style, at a more affordable price. Lire davantage

So much for promises. Leave the greenbelt alone! What about the 14000 hectares available right now to develop on that doesn’t involve destroying millions of acres of wildlife habitats and exposing Ontarians to more harmful environmental consequences. Lire davantage

This is atrocious...do you not think Ontarians can see what you're doing? Develop properties that sit vacant and leave what's left of our preserved land be. This land is protected for a reason, we need affordable housing in already developed areas, not further destruction of protected land.

No. Absolutely not. We can't take away from protected land. We the people were promised that the greenbelt would not be touched. This is an insult to the people of our province to be lied to right to our faces. Lire davantage

Do NOT use the green belt for housing! It is a fragile eco system that is home to animals, insects and important pollinators that are helping to sustain our natural environment. Letting developers build on this land won’t add more low income housing. Lire davantage

I oppose Bill 23 because I believe the Greenbelt should be protected as promised by Premier Ford. We must protect the environment in the face of global warming. Clearing land and diverting water courses for development will do the opposite. Lire davantage

The Ford government promised not to touch the greenbelt, and should keep their promises. Encouraging urban sprawl instead of protecting valuable ecosystems is unacceptable. Ontario should focus on increasing the density of its cities instead of expanding outwards. Lire davantage

Do not touch the greenbelt. You tried to do this before, saw how unpopular it was, and then said you would never do it again. Here we are again. I would have never voted for the conservative government if this was in your proposal. Lire davantage
