I am 100% opposed to removing 7,400 acres of land from the greenbelt. This land is not needed to provide sufficient affordable housing, but it’s development will reduce the environmental health of the region. Lire davantage

I am firmly opposed to the proposed amendment to the Greenbelt plan for several reasons. First, Ford said, multiple times, that the Greenbelt would not be developed and he is fraudulently going back on his word. Lire davantage

There is no way that we should be sacrificing our Greenbelt for development. Sprawling suburban McMansions are not the solution to affordable housing. We need to work on in-fill, holding developers accountable for creating affordable units. This is NOT the way. Lire davantage

The lands designated as Greenbelt are an important part of our environment and are not replaceable. They were designated as such by people who knew their value and should not be changed at the whim of politicians or developers. Leave them alone .

Hello, The purpose of this bill is to funnel profit towards Doug Ford's developer friends and donors. The future environmental impact has been ignored for the sake of profit and greed. They will simply pass on the future environmental disasters and cost to the next generations. Lire davantage

We strongly disagree with the land swap plan for the Greenbelt. Intact ecosystems cannot just be created out of thin air, climate change is not a problem for the future, it is already here and we are behind in our attempts to slow it down. Lire davantage

The Greenbeat should be protected, not sold off to the highest bidder. It doesn't matter how fast they are built, homes built here will not assist those struggling to afford housing.

Please withdraw Bill 23 “More Homes Built Faster Act”. While new councils are just beginning to take on the governance of the municipality following the election, Bill 23 “More Homes Built Faster Act” raises serious concerns. Lire davantage

No, the Greenbelt should never be touched. The Ford’s government is trying to market the issue as a solution to the housing problem; however, this is just a land sale issue with lobbying parties having unprecedented access to the government and wanting to develop the land for profit.

I am a 24 year-old living and working in the City of Toronto. I am a first generation immigrant, brought to Canada by parents who dreamed of a better life for their children. In a lot of ways, I am the future. Lire davantage

I am opposed to any incursion of the Green Belt. We have more than adequate space for building homes without destroying our environment and good farmland. Keeping Ontario's green space is essential to our health and well-being. Lire davantage

I am completely opposed to this. More housing in suburban areas (which are supposed to be protected) will not solve the affordable housing crisis. It is obvious who is benefiting from this. This is both morally bankrupt and ethically corrupt.

This is a horrible plan. I have lived in Pickering my entire life and I want this plan to stop. This will not only have detrimental environmental impacts but it will have so many social impacts as well. Lire davantage

Absolutely not. This is a terrible plan. We value the environment and turning this section greenbelt over for development would be a huge mistake. Not to mention the additional tax burden on people who are already barely scraping by thanks to corporate greed. Tell the big development companies NO! Lire davantage

I deeply oppose greenbelt development. This land is supposed to be permanently protected. It’s development is unethical. Building would benefit real estate spectators, not the millions of Ontarians who need cost-effective housing. This environmental catastrophe cannot happen. Lire davantage
