The current government cancelled renewable energy projects which need to be re-instated. Funding is also needed for low-carbon community and district energy systems, as well as for deep efficiency and decarbonization retrofits. In terms of energy storage I believe pumped hydro is currently out best option. It has largely been proven to work and be cost effective. I believe OPG and TC Energy both currently have proposed pumped storage projects. Lire davantage

For electrifying our province to support decarbonization we need to focus on base load power from nuclear and hydro relying on renewables for non base load. New hydro and nuclear projects should have indigenous equity so that we can approach these projects with reconciliation as a key priority.
