Cancel Bill 5 and plans to scrap the Endangered Species Act or implement “regulation-free zones” for resource extraction. I am asking the government to commit to strengthening the Endangered Species Act. Lire davantage

I do not support the passing of Bill 5 which will destroy habitat of wildlife, protected species, green spaces. Without adequate protections for habitat, whole lie cycles of species will lead to extinction. In short, I OPPOSED bill 5. Lire davantage

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions needs to be a top and urgent priority. Please add this requirement to be addressed anytime a special economic zone is considered. Include a requirement for indigenous consultation and approval before a special economic zone is established. Lire davantage

Corporate greed should not hold sway over our duty to protect wildlife and natural habitats. Our moral and legal responsibilities to uphold the treaty rights of Indigenous peoples in nation-to-nation responsibilities must come before bulldozing protected lands for Ford's buddies. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this bill. It does not consider or respect Indigenous rights. It grants the government unlimited rights to provide any proponent or business the ability to conduct any activity it wants in any area the government chooses without oversight. Lire davantage

This bill should be withdrawn. We need to protect our environment and the endangered species that are at risk if this bill passes. There are many places to build homes that do not require trampling on protected land that is important for environmental stability.

Government should have transparency, if this Bill comes into law it shows that the Ontario government does not believe that their proposed actions can stand on their own and will only be able to be passed through secretive measures where no one is able to look into the details. Lire davantage

This proposal is bypassing rule of law with reasoning for fighting US led tariffs. This is not what our government should be doing and is giving political leaders the right to create laws that bypass existing laws. This proposal can then be extended to bypass other existing laws and regulations. Lire davantage

Environmental and species protections must not be abandoned in favour of "the economy," and Indigenous rights must be recognized and honoured. A sellout to mining and other corporate interests will ultimately do immeasurably more harm than good, and take decades to unwind. Lire davantage

While I respect the intentions of this proposed bill, I do not think the ends justify the means. I see no reason why Ontario Place is included in this bill and find this measure to be underhanded. Lire davantage
