his Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Lire davantage

Totally support increasing density around travel hubs. However the extent of the increased density will result in gridlock. Trafalgar and Cornwall is already experiencing congestion and the huge increase in density will severally aggravate the problem. So I’m opposed to the proposal.

I am opposed to this development for many reasons. This will ruin Oakville's landscape and make it more like Toronto...a huge metropolis. Oakville is NOT a huge city and should not be forced to grow without considering the comments from its people. Lire davantage

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Lire davantage

As an Oakville resident Council knows how to plan its future best. Their decisions should not be overrun by a higher government just because a land developer will make tons of cash at the expense of residents. Look at the condo market right now. None of this condos will sell. Lire davantage

The provincial government’s intentions to approve this construction is wrong and without a true understanding of what the Oakville area needs. It will create horrible congestion, and it will negatively impact every aspect of life in Oakville. Lire davantage

The economic and viability case for these MZOs and this project has collapsed. The condominium market has both collapsed and shifted, with the market no longer supporting high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which is the configuration this TOC proposes. Lire davantage
