The most critical need that cyclists face (commuter and recreational) is safe bicycle infrastructure on busy roads. Painted bike lanes and sharrows are not enough to get more cyclists (especially women) leaving their cars at home. Lire davantage

City cycling infrastructure needs the ability to cross barriers such as railroad tracks and ravines. Also try to prioritize routes that minimize motorist fumes and exhaust. It is also important to have direct routes, where feasible. [Original Comment ID: 196713]

We need a crossing and Yonge and the 401 for example. but the MTO will not cooperate. Also we need a cross under the tracks at "Old Cumber Go station for the station and Finch trail. BUT the railroad who owns the tracks will not cooperate. We need more cooperation . Lire davantage

For safety reasons I believe off road infrastructure is the best for cycling (curb separated lanes, paved shoulders, multi-use pathways) for all networks whether local, regional or provincial. Lire davantage
