This bill is the epitome of government control. We, the people, want freedom to safely commute using any transportation methods. Including cars. Removing bike lanes makes driving, biking and walking more dangerous. Lire davantage

This change is unacceptable. It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage

Our city needs more bike Lanes. It is imperative that we prioritize the insulation of bike Lanes over cars and motor vehicles for the benefit of the community. Walkable cities are critical to the health and mental well-being of the community.

I ride to work every day on a fully separated bike lane. It was critical to my decision to do this. I’m healthier, safer and not contributing to congestion on the roads. Lire davantage

I live in Toronto, about 25 minutes from downtown by bicycle. I am 52, and I use my bicycle every day from May to November as my primary means of transportation. As I have arthritis and chronic pain I like to use my bike because my work bag can sit in my bike basket and I get necessary exercise. Lire davantage

Nov., 22, 2022, To the Environmental Registry of Ontario: Whether you drive four wheels, ride two, or are a pedestrian, everyone in a vehicle, on a bike, or walking, deserves to feel safe as they travel city streets. It’s why traffic lights, speed limits and road rules exist. Lire davantage

I commute around Toronto on a bicycle and believe this bill directly interferes with my safety and any hope for development of good infrastructure in the city in the future. Stop this tyrant and invest public money into public transportation, and give people options! Lire davantage

I strongly object to the proposals in Bill 60 that propose to restrict a city's ability to do anything other than build roads for cars. Bus lanes, bike tracks, and other alternatives to private vehicles area the only thing that will help solve traffic congestion. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is a terrible idea. It wrests control away from local municipal governments to manage traffic lanes. Local government is able to manage these decisions. Lire davantage

I have several comments on Bill 60. First and foremost is the government's proposal to limit municipalities' ability to create new bike lanes or other improvements or changes to existing roadways that remove traffic lanes. Lire davantage

As an Ontario resident and renter, I oppose Bill 60. It threatens me autonomy, takes away my housing security, takes away from strong urban development in the place I live, all which threatens my quality of life, safety and security in Ontario.

There is overwhelming evidence that the construction of bikes lanes does not increase congestion. In actuality, the construction of safe bike lanes encourages people to bike rather than drive, decreasing congestion. Lire davantage
