Enough is enough already! Start putting people before profits. Our province needs more bike infrastructure, support and funding.

Bicycle lanes are a VERY important part of Ontario infrastructure. I’ve been cycling in Ontario for over 30 years. Bicycle infrastructure has helped improve every aspect of life in Ontario cities. More bicycle lanes make it safer for cyclists, pedestrians and drivers. Lire davantage

Safe cycling infrastructure matters to me, my family and our community. When we moved to the Junction Triangle area 6 years ago, we chose a home near the West Toronto Railpath so that my son could use it get to school and back. Lire davantage

This proposal is harmful. In a time when fighting climate change should be a top priority for all government bodies: we should be discouraging individual car use in a city and encouraging bike and public transit usage. This bill is an enormous step backwards. Lire davantage

I am against Bill 60 which would prohibit lane reductions for bicycle lanes. Toronto, where I live needs to expand bicycle lanes and improve bicycle infrastructure. Given the need to reduce carbon emissions this seems like backward thinking. Lire davantage

Biking needs to be part of all future transportation plans for the city of Toronto. Cyclists need safe bike paths to survive. This bill is very short sited and does not support trying to provide a safe option for cycling in city planning. I am totally against this bill.

I appreciate that cutting red tape may help advance housing affordability, but this should not come at the expense of the strides that have made to address the climate crisis. Lire davantage

Thank you for the opportunity to review and provide feedback on the proposed changes to the Highway Traffic Act. Upon reviewing the proposed amendments, it was noted that there is a reference to prohibiting a reduction of lanes for ‘any other prescribed purpose’ in addition to bicycles lanes. Lire davantage

I am a family physician in Toronto, as well as an avid cycle commuter. I bike to work for my own mental and physical health, and for the environmental health of our community, and I try to promote the same for my patients. Lire davantage

Traffic congestion is decreased and safety for all is increased with protected bicycle lanes, transit lanes , and pedestrian infrastructure. Each of these is safer for all, reduces congestion and pollution, and cheaper to maintain than roads with wide, multiple lanes. Lire davantage

As a citizen, pedestrian, driver and occasional cyclist (I would cycle more if there was better infrastructure), I have serious concerns with Bill 60's prohibition on vehicle lane reduction for new bicycle lanes. My concerns include: Lire davantage

I am a 20 year old student from Toronto and I think this proposal is a terrible idea. There have been countless studies as to why bike and bus lanes are not only good for the community but REDUCE traffic not increase it. Lire davantage

This bill is unnecessary, dangerous and very anti-citizen. The provincial government should not be imposing unpopular & unfounded laws on municipal decisions. Stay in your own lane. Please ! Lire davantage

As a renter and cyclist I believe the content of this bill is abhorrent. The province is severely impacting tenants by favouring already profitable and demanding landlords where the power balance heavily favours the property owners. Lire davantage
