Conservation Authorities (CAs) play a key role in protecting Ontario from flooding, protecting the environment, protecting our drinking water, advancing science, restoring habitat and educating the public. I strongly disagree with the plan to amalgamate the conservation authorities. The Niagara region must be allowed to keep their own. You cannot have oversight of such large areas and keep things fair and unique to the area. We need to keep our sovereignty, if not only bad things will happen. Lire davantage

I have lived in Niagara for nearly all of my life, and I do not support our conservation authority being amalgamated with areas of the GTA. It may reduce administrative costs, but with such a large area to oversee, my concern is that it will also lead to administrative oversight. Lire davantage

If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Niagara Conservation knows what it is doing and cares for the natural heritage. Doug Ford has no clue what is at stake in the natural world.
