The proposals main goal should be reduction of duplicate services as well as the reduction in operating costs. Raisin River Conservation Authority is heavily overstaffed and the burden of these opertating costs is directly passed on to the tax payer.

I do not agree with the amalgamation that is proposed. Why is this being done? Each of the areas should be able to concentrate on the issues in their region, instead of an amalgamated approach. This just sounds like politics wrapped in this is good for you. Lire davantage

Amalgamating the conservation authorities is going to weaken the watershed protections. The region’s being proposed are massive and any unique knowledge of the area is going to be lost. This is going to seriously harm the environmental protections and I strongly oppose it.
