I write to register my opposition to the issuance of MZOs for the transit oriented ghetto proposed for midtown Oakville. This project will destroy the character of our town and waste all of the taxpayer dollars that Oakville residents have invested in developing the superior OPA70.

The proposed density is too high for the area. There is insufficient local transit, roads can barely accommodate current traffic. I doubt that current sewage and water supplies are sufficient.

We have lived in Oakville for over 75 years ( my wife and myself ) In the fifties the Town was small and everybody knew at least someone when walking through downtown.

I can understand the need for having Municipal Zoning Orders so the province can deal with municipalities that are behind in decisions or are neglecting to make decisions.

The MZO ignore several keys items:
1. It ignores the views of the locally elected officials, and residents as already set out in OPA 70.
2. The density is excessive by comparison with all other developments.
