As an Ontarian who cherishes the opportunities we have to enjoy nature, I am strongly opposed to this amendment. Changing the Ministry of the park land to a Ministry thst is responsible for tourism and gaming is irresponsible in protecting shared public resources.

As the name, “Wasaga Beach Provincial Park”, implies the park belongs to the people of Ontario and must remain as such. Our public lands must not be turned over to private interests who will in turn restrict access to a valuable natural asset.
I implore you to reconsider this amendment and others like it, and act to protect all publicly accessible land such as conservation and park land. To call this a “Tourism Enhancement Proposal” is laughable.

I do not support removing any portion of the provincial park. The park is there to protect the land and the animals, plants and fungi that live there. As a park on its own it boosts tourism. It does not need to be transferred to the municipality. Leave the park alone.
Save our national parks and our endangered species. To sell the land to developers is selfish and it'll ruin our fragile ecosystem. Save the piping plover. Stop destroying what precious little nature we have left.

I am writing to express my deep concern about the amendments to this act. Firstly by moving forward this amendment will further endanger the Piping Plover. This is critical nesting habitat for this endangered species. Secondly, this is a provincial park! Public land.
