Wasaga is an important part of our ecosystem, spanning kilometres of aquatic area and shore environment. Generations of people have visited wasaga freely to experience nature and make lasting memories. Wasaga needs to remain available to the public, owned by the public.
I oppose the sale of any parts of Wasaga beach provincial park. The area is already under significant pressure and is home to many rare species.

I think this area should remain under the jurisdiction of the Provincial Park of Wasaga Beach. I think the transfer to the township will have negative consequences resulting in environmental damage and species loss.

I DO NOT want the Town of Wasaga Beach to take over any part of the beach that is controlled by the Ontario Parks Dept. as this will only raise property taxes.
I do think the Ontario Government DOES NOT keep the park facilities in good condition, i.e.

As a resident of Wasaga Beach I don’t think it’s right at all to sell off to developers part of the provincial park. These are sensitive areas and park land that belongs to the people, not developers. It is NOT ok.
We cannot afford to reduce our conservation areas and protected lands. This would greatly and negatively impact the biodiversity of the ecosystem and an increase in tourism would only further be harmful to the area we are responsible of protecting!
I do not agree with the selling selling 9f any public beaches or parks. They are meant for all to enjoy, not to become privatized property inaccessible to most.
Beaches should remain within provincial control as part of Ontario Parks. For many years have enjoyed stopping in at Beach 1 as a pit stop on my way home from camping at Awenda. Being able to access the park with my RV/Trailer while using my Awenda park camping permit has been awesome.

I think this proposal is totally ridiculous! There is no way that the town should have ownership of the Ontario parks in Wasaga Beach. The town will sell it all off because they don't want to upkeep the parks and our treasure will be more housing that this town cannot handle.

The beach and the Endangered species such as the piping Plover need protection in Ontario, specifically in Wasaga Beach. Please stop gutting everything that isProtecting wildlife. This is moving backwards and dangerous and irresponsible.
I would prefer the public land remaining with the province. I think the transferring to the town will limit the use of the land, and prioritize private buisness over public use, regardless of any promises. I am also concerned with the environmental impact of changing the land designation.
