We disagree with transferring the responsibility of conserving the Piping Plovers habitat to the town of Wasaga Beach. The town does not have the resources to maintain the habitat, and has no priority to so either. Read more

I am strongly opposed to the Ontario government removing segments of the beach from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and allowing the town of Wasaga Beach to take over the management of this beach area. Read more

I do NOT support the repurposing land that already has a purpose. If you need to make $$ off of Wasaga Beach for whatever reason charge an entry fee or something but do not touch the land. Read more

I am very strongly opposed to the proposal to transfer land from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the town of Wasaga Beach. This is an absolutely horrible idea. Provincial Parks should not be decreased in size. If anything they should be enhanced. Read more

Regarding "Proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal." This proposal may not be illegal, but it might as well be. Read more

I'm seriously worried about the plan to transfer Wasaga Beach land from Ontario Parks to the Town. This is a huge problem for the endangered Piping Plovers that nest there. Read more

I am writing to state my opposition to the Ontario government’s plan to strip provincial park protection from key parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, and to sell much of this land for “integration into the broader development of Destination Wasaga”. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed legislative amendments. Ontario parks belong to the people of Ontario, not municipalities like the Town of Wasaga Beach. Beaches are more than sand and opportunities for tourism dollars. Read more

We need to save and keep our shoreline sacred for nature wildlife, and the preservation of our provincial parks. This is overstepping by the government and very visibly showing that money and greed is paving the way over protection consciousness, and the trust of the community. Read more

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more
