I oppose the proposed legislative amendment to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act. I believe that Wasaga beach should be kept as a provincial park and not sold off to developers. Read more

I am strongly opposed to the proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006 and the Historical Parks Act that would enable the transfer of Beach Area 1 from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the Town of Wasaga Beach. Read more

Parks must remain accessible to all, not just the rich. Development of shorelines is having a detrimental impact on species at risk as well as the environment. It is time to protect these areas, not destroy them.

I am very concerned that the proposal to transfer Wasaga Beach from Ontario Parks to the Town of Wasaga Beach is disregarding the important role for the Province of Ontario to conserve and protect the piping plover and its habitat and nestimg sites there, as a species at risk. Read more

Please protect this area! There are ample opportunities for municipality ownership/ development across Ontario that does not need to be here. To protect this area is a way to protect all of Ontario and the natural elements that's make our province unique on a WORLDWIDE stage. Read more

This proposal to remove protections on Nancy Island and Allenwood Beach is terrible. These areas are right on Lake Ontario, on migration paths and pose a threat to the environment. It would also destroy wildlife habitat, possibly creating human wildlife conflicts. Read more

No the town should not get the beach area's they are requesting . Now with construction happening at beach area 1 there would be no protection against the town of wasaga beach making certain areas private for resort style businesses .Thank you

Do not remove provincial park lands: instead please protect the existing provincial parks, outdoor spaces and wildlife species.

At this point, I think we've all come to expect blatant corruption from Doug Ford. Ontario Parks are not for sale. These provincial parks belong to us, Ontarians, the corrupt premier has no right to sell them to his mobster developer buddies. How dare you.

Having publicly accessible beaches is a long-term legacy for the people of Ontario. Wasaga Beach should not be changed in any form. Every foot of current public beach and parkland should stay the way it is and be preserved for future generations and public access. Read more
