As a resident of Wasaga Beach, this proposal is dangerous and irresponsible. Wasaga Beach attracts many visitors from all over to experience the world's largest freshwater beach, many of whom park their vehicles in Wasaga Beach Provincial Park's parking lots. Read more

This saddens me to think of the loss of the extremely important and critical habitat for the piping plovers. These small shore birds are fighting against extinction and EVERY area they are in is important and should be protected. this beach is the most productive beach in Ontario! Read more

I wholeheartedly do not support the proposed amendments to the PPCRA outlined in this proposal. The area proposed for redevelopment is currently protected by the Ontario Parks, and the solution is not to give control to the town. Read more

Please do not develop Wasaga Beach. This land is not yours to take and we need to support biodiversity and our lands for the future. Development will destroy important natural habitats and have negative impacts on at risk species.

The current Town of Wasaga Beach council approves overcrowding of town home near the beachfront. In addition their approved plans for beach area 1 are stacked town homes for the rich who can afford to purchase beachfront. Read more

The grounds for the changes have not been provided. Stating that there will be benefits to the municipalities are without merit and lack studies. Endangered species will be put at risk. This smells. Read more

Ontario lands should not be for sale! Shame on the government for privatizing our cultural and natural heritage in the name of profits. Access to and preservation of natural resources will be what saves us as we move into an uncertain climate future. Read more
