Removing any land from Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves is a step backwards for the province and a blatant scheme for more development on pristine land. Wasaga Beach is home to one of the last few nesting spots of Piping plovers, an endangered species of shorebird in Ontario.

I am completely against selling or giving away any protected or provincial park land to the town of Wasaga Beach or any other person, party or company and want it to remain protected and/or provincial park in Wasaga Beach AND elsewhere.
I strongly oppose this proposal as Ontario Parks need to be protected, not developed. Ontario Parks are important to our fight on climate change for people - clean air and water and for species at risk and other species who call parks their home.
This provincial government has a strong track record of degrading our environmental protections that ensure we have healthy land and water for future generations.
