This proposal will have a strong impact on the survival of the pipping plover species and may make it harder for conservation efforts to stay in place. This species of shore birds is only now just improving in numbers while still being on the brink of being considered endangered. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this change. Tourism is strong and always has been in this area. We do not need to make these changes. Please leave this native beauty as it is. Thank you.

I am opposed to allowing the government to make legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act (PPCRA) that protects all of Ontario Parks and Conservation Reserves. The PPCRA currently requires that elected MPPs approve any significant removal of provincial park land. Read more

Please take measures to preserve the plovers at Wasaga Beach and that help them thrive. Use the expertise of existing groups who focus on bird well being--like Birds Canada--for a management plan.

I do not support the sale of Wasaga Beach. The area needs to remain as a designated provincial land publicly owned for all . The property needs to be protected for the sake of the piping plover and other species.

I highly oppose the proposal to sell Wasaga beach property to property developers who will ruin the ecosystem at the cost of taxpayers. The government should be focusing on health care and education but are more interested in property deals that only benefit a small group of people Read more

I do NOT support the Wasaga Beach tourism enhancement proposal. Wasaga Beach is a critical habitat for endangered species such as the piping plover and needs to protected in order to sustain this species as well as many others that use this area.

I am opposed to the sale of Wasaga Beach. Over the past couple of decades, we have proof of the value of our ecosystem, and disrupting it the way Ford suggests is deplorable and embarrassing.

This proposal is absolutely ridiculous and not something our government should be prioritizing at this time. We need more parks and public lands, not more greed and privatization - especially when endangered species are involved. Shame on the Ford government for this proposal.

Park Lands should never be removed especially in this area especially for the sake of any development. This is a cheap short term solution.
