Although he campaigns on promises of building (houses, roads, infrastructure), Premier Doug Ford will go down in history as a destroyer. Read more

To The Ministry of Environment and Doug Ford, Once again public land is being taken away from the people of Ontario for private interest and profit. This trend is alarming to myself and many of your constituents who believe that these spaces should be protected for future generations. Read more

STOP developing in Provincial Parks--leave our wild spaces intact and free! They were created for all not the few. A slippery slope Provincial Parks and next the Geenbelt again.

As a resident of the area with much use of businesses in Wasaga, and my family's affection for the public beaches, my great concern is how the lands will be available for the public. Read more

Parcelling parts of our Provincial Parks for development is a betrayal of the trust Ontarians put in our elected officials. Provincial parks are a treasure to be enjoyed by everyone not to be sold to developers for profit or friends of government for favors. Read more

Please do not do this. Wasaga beach is home to so many memories and joyful eventful times, don’t take that away! No one wants more houses along the beach, it will change the whole place !

Premier Ford, you have no right to sell publicly owned land to your developer friends. Keep your hands off our parks!

The management of Canada's land shouldn't be left up to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Gaming! Putting profits over protection will hurt Canadians in the long run.

Keep your greenbelt stealing hands off our provincial parks. You are taking land from our children that they could cherish into the future but instead you’re doing everything the wrong way to place cement megastructures everywhere. Stop ruining our province with your greed. Read more

Stop this immediately. We don’t need more money or more flashy entertainment and attractions. We need the earth, ecosystems and biodiversity. Stop destroying Ontario to line the pockets of private companies who already have more money than any person should ever need. Leave Wasaga Beach alone. Read more

I completely oppose this proposal. Making more resources available to private development is not necessary to improve the conditions for residents of, or visitors to, the Wasaga Beach area, be they human or wildlife. Read more

The proposal to sell off parts of the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is repugnant. Provincial parks are an important part of the national network of protected spaces in which the environment will be safeguarded from degradation. Read more

Please do not sell off our Provincial Parks! Wasaga Beach is the world's longest fresh water beach that anyone can access and selling it off will ruin that! This is part of what makes Ontario Great! As a local to the area, the beach is a point of pride. Read more

I don’t support these amendments. I live in the other part of Ontario which has critical nesting habitat for Piping Plovers (in NW Ontario) and personally have a stake in this question as an Ontarian, biologist, farmer and parent. Read more

I work in this community and this is a terrible idea. We need to protect our natural lands - they aren’t making anymore of them! Once it’s gone - it’s gone. Read more

This proposal claims that it will continue to "protect the area's natural and cultural heritage." However, this legislation and the proposed removal of lands from Wasaga Provincial Park is a ploy to more easily sell the land to developers. Read more
