This is not acceptable. For the land, eco systems the people of Ontario- completely inappropriate to sell this pure and publicly shared land to privatization. Especially your private developer friends, Ford. Leave the land alone. It is stolen to begin with and not yours to sell. Read more

You absolutely need to preserve Wasaga beach as it currently is. The piping plover population depends on it. Build nearby but don't take away their nesting sites. This beach is super important for our ecosystem to work! We need to not only care about humans and humans only. Read more

If this transfer directly means that people in New Wasaga try to claim the sand as their property there will be issues with the public for sure. Unacceptable if this is being done for that purpose. Please define what "beach" means. Water, sand, how much of it. Read more

This is just wrong…taking public space for private developers to make money off of!!! Wasaga Beach is a jewel in Ontario and it will be completely changed with some people making lots of money off the deal. This is not good planning. Read more

I am deeply concerned that Wasaga Beach council (this one or any future council ) is up to the monumental task of protecting the worlds longest freshwater beach for generations to come . It is a huge environmental responsibility . Read more

People visit provincial parks to spend time in nature. They are not looking for urban entertainment; quite the opposite. Read more

To the people that feel wasaga beach needs to be handed over to the municipality of wasaga beach. Please do not do this. This is unfair as we will be losing access to our beautiful beaches as this land will be developed and not protected. Read more

Public access to beaches is becoming more difficult as developments encroach on these beaches. Selling them to Wasaga Beach one and two would eliminate access by deeded back lot owners that have accessed the beaches for decades. Read more

Absolutely keep Wasaga’s beaches provincial. We do not want to lose our piping Oliver habitat and do not want the beach developed with condos and townhouses. Keep the beach semi undeveloped and allow everyone to enjoy our beaches.

The loss of provincial public land, in particular Beach One and Beach Two in Wasaga Beach, is a dangerous precedent. Not only will public access to the beach occur but the shoreline eco system will be harmed. Read more

I’m extraordinarily disappointed in the Ford administration’s decision to sell off Beaches 1 and 2 and Nancy Island at Wasaga Beach to developers. I realize the local Wasaga Beach municipal government is in favour of this action but believe it is a short sighted maneuver for the region. Read more

Provincial Park land in wasaga beach should not be transferred to the town. It should continue to be protected by the province, as should all park land in Ontario. Wasaga beach has unique environment with natural dunes and endangered species that are you unique to the area and call it home. Read more

I do not support this proposal. The provincial parks are and should remain protected areas that are essential to Ontario’s wildlife and touristic appeal.
