I like the idea of the smaller conservation authorities, and want them left in place. I believe local municipalities know what is best for their environment. Who wants this change? Developers? Why not align the administrative process to be the same for all 36? Read more

I have spent a several hours reading this document trying to find the evidence for the proposed mergers. I was looking for the "proven current inefficiencies" and how you propose the mergers will stream line processes. Read more

ERCA should be protected in the community of Essex County! WE have much to lose with all the housing changes coming we need to ensure our natural lands and waterways are protected! What better way than to keep the people who are pillars to the environment in our area! ERCA must be saved!!! Read more

As a resident of Thunder Bay, I'm very opposed to the proposed shuttering of the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority LRCA via amalgamation with six southern Ontario conservation authorities to create a "Huron- Superior regional conservation authority". Read more

As a resident of Dundas, and through my work in local real estate, I see how conservation authority decisions shape land use, flood risk, and long-term community resilience. Hamilton and Dundas encompass diverse landscapes and watersheds that depend on deep, place-specific knowledge. Read more

I’m concerned that a viable justification for this amalgamation has yet to be provided. If we’re being honest here Hamiltons green spaces is one of the very few great things about Hamilton. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this proposal. It risks and undermines the current service and citizen protection. Local knowledge and expertise will be attenuated. The Provincial Government will be sidestepping an important service of flood protection to citizens. Read more

I find this proposal just a way to cut costs but not consider the real impact this will have at the local level. Centralization will lead to catastrophic problems at the local level that those in charge will not care about, because it does not affect them directly, as they do not live in the area. Read more

The province already has the authority to make policy and standards the CAs would have to fallow. Why use a wrecking ball when a few policies would correct any inconsistencies that are there. thank you the Leeds Federation of Agriculture's full submission is attached. Read more

As owners of property in Ontario, we do not need to reduce the conservation authority in any way. We actually need to strengthen their authority. There is no need to hurry up the process for developers to compromise our fragile water and ego systems. Leave it alone. Bug off.

My property backs into conservation land and I strongly object to the proposed changes. Someone has been cutting down trees on this protected land to clear a path for motorized vehicles. My local authority can and will take interest in this case and do something about it because they are here. Read more
