I oppose the proposed merger of conservation authorities. The Province has not provided evidence that a merger is necessary or that existing conservation authorities are failing. Issues such as inefficiencies or inconsistent service could be addressed without restructuring the entire system. Read more

To whom it may concern, I am a regular user of Upper Thames River Conservation Authority lands, and I use these areas primarily for biking on conservation trails. I am strongly opposed to the proposal to fold UTRCA into an oversized Lake Erie Regional Conservation Authority. Read more

I do not agree that amalgamation is a good idea. As the province provides a minority of the funding it seems to be inappropriate for the province to change the structure. I would prefer that local people be in charge of the areas they live in.

I am very concerned with the province's plan to amalgamate Conservation Authorities, especially in view of the lack of the authorities' involvement with this change. The Conservation Authorities are the experts in their fields. Read more
