I strongly urge the province to keep conservation authorities operating on a local basis. Conservation authorities are integral to their local communities and experts in their immediate areas and natural resources.
This is absolutely a blatant power grab by the provincial government o help pad developer pockets. Keep power with the people and respect local governance.

Local authorities should retain power on local issues and resources. The current provincial government has consistently shown dedication only to development and their own retention of power, not conservation.
There appears to be no change in jurisdiction proposed for Toronto and Region Conservation Area (TRCA) in the proposal and no other CA’s will be amalgamated with it.
